I hate phlegm.
Watched The Great Escape last night and was reminded how fantastic (and, um, HOT) Steve McQueen was. Too bad he was a total whackadoo nutjob. Still, I'd have ridden on the back of that motorcycle through the European countryside with him, barbed wire crash landing or not!
Have you ever noticed that part of the inherent joy of coffee drinking lies in the aroma? And since I haven't been able to smell anything in almost two weeks, my morning cappuccino just hasn't been the same. *sniff* I miss you, scent of Peet's Espresso Forte!
I'm about to start reading a new book and I need you to help me choose - A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray or The Secret of Lost Things by Sheridan Hay? The rhyming is unintentional.
Or is there a super fantastic must read it right now book I should run out and get for the weekend vaca?
At least the Lakers are on today. If I have to be home, sick, in bed on a Sunday, I'm glad there's a Kobe-LeBron match up to look forward to.
The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins
ReplyDeleteLife As We Knew It, Susan Beth Pfeffer
Go read both. ;)
Oooo. Already have The Hunger Games on my Amazon wishlist but didn't have the Pfeffer on my radar. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon! I always know I'm REALLY sick when I don't want coffee. I vote for The Secret of Lost Things... any book about literary obsession is bound (ha!) to be good.
ReplyDeleteI vote Libba Bray. I started reading Secret of Lost Things and couldn't get into it, but that was just me.
ReplyDeleteYep, The Hunger Games is awesome.
Feek better, you're up tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteWell, too early, that comment didn't take. Feel better, luv, you're up tomorrow!
