1. Shout Out to the nightmare that is thisisnottom.com. It's equal parts scavenger hunt, IQ test and logic puzzle, complete with a cute You Tube video where other participants post hints and solves. At the moment, I'm stuck at the Math Test, having slightly cheated to get a clue on the George Washington level. Want your brain to explode? Check it out.2. Shout Out to the VCA West Los Angeles animal hospital. Mr. Fluffy had his one year check up yesterday and he is doing great. But a year ago, he spent almost two weeks at this hospital when he almost died due to severely low blood sugar. Basically, my picky pup refused to eat puppy food! He hated it so much (flames, flames from the side of my face) he would rather make himself sick than eat it. Took the hospital a few days to find a food he would eat and they totally saved his life.
3. Shout Out to my friend Nicole Peeler whose cover art for her upcoming debut Tempest Rising just went up on her website. I think it's unique and eye-catching.
4. Shout Out to Writer Beware!, an excellent blog where Victoria Strauss, A.C. Crispin and Richard White keep aspiring writers informed about the myriad of pitfalls and scams lurking about the dark corners of the publishing industry. Victoria's newest post on the definition of a "scam" is worth a read!
