Saturday Status

Gotta keep myself on track somehow, so why not publically? I managed 700 words on The Escape last night - not bad for a Friday night - and I'm hoping to get 3000 more in this weekend. I'm counting my weekend words towards Julie Butcher's Wordathon (so I can't slack...) Here's my favorite bit from last night:

With a forceful kick, Maggie rolled the officer into the low drainage ditch just off the road.

"Enjoy your nap," she said, a sly smile creasing the right corner of her mouth. "Let's see if you can catch me now."

Also, a quick annoucement: on Monday, my fabulous agent will be posting a response to Agentfail on my blog. Be sure and check back. She's incredibly candid and gives a rare glimpse into the precarious balancing act that is life vs. career.

Oh, and P.S. - a shout out to my Purgie Pals. I love you guys!

  6. Thanks guys! She lets it all hang out, especially when she's dressed like a boy. Which is like half the book. Or more.

  8. Love you too! Although I guess I still qualify (LOL), I haven't been over there in a while. Can't seem to manage that and facebook and blogging and blog visiting... Maggie sounds cool, my kinda girl!
