Hook.
The troupe has hired Cirque du Soleil and Ringling Bros. veterans as Producer, Director and Choreographer and expanded the show to include some unbelievable new acts (trampoline in the big top!). This summer's tent will hold more than twice as many people as last year's plus we're doing 7 shows a week (yes, I said 7) for 6 weeks!
The singers have expanded roles, as well which suits me just fine. Honestly, it's the most fun I've had performing in years and the troupe is just so thrilled to have live performers, they almost don't care what comes out of my mouth!
Love that.
As perhaps you can glean from the photos, this ain't yo mama's circus. (And no I don't wear a bikini top so don't even ask!) But the level of talent involved here in unreal - dancers, aerialists, acrobats, tumblers, fire eaters, stilt walkers and musicians (duh) - and I'm humbly overjoyed to be a part of this production.
I'll post dates and ticket info once the calendar is finalized, and maybe some rehearsal photos here and there. So if you missed it last year - and you might have because the run sold out before our second performance - you really should try and come this year. It'll blow you away.
Seriously.
This is so cool...if I was in California, I'd come and watch it! Like S&M meets the Ringling brothers, lol.
