I suppose this should really be "Days 6-8" as obviously I didn't post at ALL this weekend. Pourquoi? Because I was at the LA SCBWI conference.

The phrase "I was at the conference" is, I believe, a bit of an overstatement. I did not actually attend the conference. I think what I actually did was attend the lobby bar and the outdoor cabana bar. It was basically an excuse to hang out with a bunch of my writer friends all gathered in one place, and to dress up as Hello Kitty.

That was from the Pajama Party Gala, with my friend and fellow Bookanista Shana Silver. I'm also wearing a tail. Yeah, I know.

The "people" aspect of SCBWI is clearly my favorite part. It was a social butterfly kind of weekend for this extrovert, a packed schedule of breakfasts, lunches, cocktail hours, dinners, etc. with some truly amazing writers.

If I missed anyone it's because my brain is running on 4 hours of sleep.

So, yes. It was such a fantastic weekend. It was therapeutic for me, sort of recharging as we hit the two week mark before POSSESS is released into the big, bad world. *sigh* So much fun. SO MUCH FUN!
