Countdown to #GetPOSSESS: Day 2

mood: extroverted
pandora/ipod: "broadway baby" sung by bernadette peters

The fantastic Stasia Kehoe set up a fantastic new group, an affiliation of young adult authors who write about the performing arts called Stages on Pages.

The website was just launched yesterday with some fanastic tour dates, including several in Los Angeles with....me! Hee.

Now, granted, POSSESS has nothing to do with the performing arts, though there is one fantastic show choir scene featuring "Hip Hop-hellujah," a pop version of Handel's "Hallelujah" chorus from The Messiah. However, I'm a trained opera singer and I still perform with Cirque Berzerk, so Stasia very kindly invited me to be a part of the group!

We'll be interacting with teens, discussing our lives and experiences in the performing arts, and doing group signings. Other authors involved in Stages on Pages include Sheela Chari, Tara Kelly, Jessica Martinez, Sara Bennett Wealer and Allen Zadoff, among others. So excited to be working with this amazing group of authors!!!!

We have two confirmed tour stops in Southern California that I will be at:

Thursday, October 20, 2011 - Mrs. Nelson's Toy and Book Shop, LaVerne

Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 2pm - Vroman's Bookstore, Pasadena

There are several dates in Washington State and New York City, all listed on the Stages on Pages website, as well as several more in the works for California. In addition, I'm working on solo signings in both San Francisco and Los Angeles... but more details on that later. :)
