Interview with GIVE UP THE GHOST's Megan Crewe!

I'm so honored to be conducting an interview today over at the Enchanted Inkpot with fellow Inkie Megan Crewe, who's debut novel GIVE UP THE GHOST is on shelves now at a Barnes & Noble (or Chapters/Indigo if you're in Canada) near you!

A little bit about GIVE UP THE GHOST:

Cass McKenna much prefers the company of ghosts over "breathers." Ghosts are uncomplicated and dependable, and they know the dirt on everybody... and Cass loves dirt. She's on a mission to expose the dirty secrets of the poseurs in her school.

But when the vice president of the student council discovers her secret, Cass's whole scheme hangs in the balance. Tim wants her to help him contact his recently deceased mother, and Cass reluctantly
agrees.

As Cass becomes increasingly entwined in Tim's life, she's surprised to realize he's not so bad--and he needs help more desperately than anyone else suspects. Maybe it's time to give the living another chance...
And now a tease of the interview, which you can read in full here!

GM: I noticed that you have a GIVE UP THE GHOST soundtrack on your website. As a musician myself, I'm always interested to know what kind of a role music plays in your writing, your story, etc.

MC: I mostly used the music for mood. I listened to Lisa Germano's Geek The Girl and The Dresden Dolls' self titled album while I was brainstorming and writing the novel because that's the sort of music Cass would like. It helped me get into that outsider, non-conformist, critical mind-set. And writing in first person, it was particularly important to feel that I understood what would be going on
in Cass's head.
Awesome author. Awesome book. Awesome interview. :D
