My new Author Photos

mood: giddy and sad at the same time

Weird day. I'm simultaneously excited and sad at the same time. Excited, because I can show you my new author photo, taken this week by the massively talented Pixie Spindel of Pixie Vision Productions. Sad, because of what happened in San Bruno last night. I grew up about 2 miles from there, played soccer at Crestmoor Field, know people who own homes in that once lovely neighborhood. My heart bleeds for you.

But the picture is fabulous. There will be more from this shoot which I'll share next month, but for now: voila! Gretchen McNeil, author!

  1. Lovely, Gretchen. You look very human, approachable, and intriguing.

And hugs to you and the people affected by that explosion. So sad.

  9. Gretchen, I am so impressed with this photographer, not because she's made you into something better than you are - but because she has captured your very essence in such a beautiful, alluring way. Wow!

(Also, I hear you on the split feelings. My heart goes out to all the people affected by the explosion in San Bruno. :( So many have lost loved ones, their homes, all their possessions... Very sad.)
