pandora/ipod: "the killing moon" by echo and the bunnymen
Weird day. I'm simultaneously excited and sad at the same time. Excited, because I can show you my new author photo, taken this week by the massively talented Pixie Spindel of Pixie Vision Productions. Sad, because of what happened in San Bruno last night. I grew up about 2 miles from there, played soccer at Crestmoor Field, know people who own homes in that once lovely neighborhood. My heart bleeds for you.
But the picture is fabulous. There will be more from this shoot which I'll share next month, but for now: voila! Gretchen McNeil, author!

Lovely, Gretchen. You look very human, approachable, and intriguing.
ReplyDeleteAnd hugs to you and the people affected by that explosion. So sad.
Look at you!! These are great! Nice work to Pixie.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are FANTASTIC. You look smart, beautiful, and I love your mischievous smile that implies a well-developed sense of humor. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteOMG! These are so awesome! They capture your beauty and your personality! Love the impish grin, cutie pie!
ReplyDeleteGretchen, those are GORGEOUS. So incredibly expressive. Congrats to you and a big "well done!" to Pixie.
ReplyDeleteThey look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics! How exciting that they will be on a book cover! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my God!!! These are incredible! Maybe you could add modeling to your long list of achievements! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely! I like how she caught the mischief in your smile.
ReplyDeleteGretchen, I am so impressed with this photographer, not because she's made you into something better than you are - but because she has captured your very essence in such a beautiful, alluring way. Wow!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I agree with the others. She caught the very Gretchen-ness of you in that smile.:)
ReplyDeleteYou're pure gorgeousness, Gretchen!
ReplyDelete(Also, I hear you on the split feelings. My heart goes out to all the people affected by the explosion in San Bruno. :( So many have lost loved ones, their homes, all their possessions... Very sad.)
Awww. That picture is absolutely beautiful. Awesome. :D
ReplyDeleteYou look so very lovely Gretchen! *hugs* for San Bruno!
