pandora/ipod: "punk rock girl" by the dead milkmen
I'm not dead! I swear! Although by the lack of posting this month you'd be totally justified in the assumption.
So, what's been going on with me?
Well, I'm working on some revisions for BANISH suggested by my Rockstar agent. Nothing major but I'm trying to get them to her by the end of April so my brain has been a little preoccupied. Just a little.
Meanwhile, the day job has actually picked up. Which is good. YAY DAY JOB! Because if I'm busy there, it means I won't be losing my job anytime soon. And this is a good thing because, you know, I like to eat and have an apartment to come home to. And whatnot and so forth.
Meanwhile meanwhile, what little free time I have, I've been filling with social obligations because, honestly, my friends, happy hours, dog walks, lunch dates, movies, dinners and gab fests are the only thing keeping me sane these days. Call it "circling the wagons" as I attempt to deal with some real life personal crapola that isn't worth mentioning on Ye Olde Blog.
However, once May rolls around I have some exciting blog plans! I'll finally be getting to my Query Critique Contest wrap up - talking about what I saw, how I fixed, suggestions I made, etc. I read some really great queries and all four of the winners should be proud of what they have! I'm also going to be doing a Book Giveaway contest early in May - details to come - plus I'll be continuing my "How To Write a Book" series.
Oh, and I might even be debuting some teasers from a new WIP. "Might." "Maybe." We'll see how that goes.
Okay, sound good? I promise I'll try not to fall off the face of the Blogosphere again. *crosses fingers behind back* PROMISE!
Yay for May! Hope the rest of April goes smoothly!!
ReplyDeleteHaha, we had nearly exactly similar comments on Nathan Bransford's blog (and at the same time, too). I think we were both trying to say: SHORELINE had serious promise, but fix the query construction, lol.
ReplyDeleteOh crap, wrong blog! Sorry... Hate it when the interweb gets tangled.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for BANISH t obe out in the world of editors etc.!
