Ahhhhhh.
Last night I wrote 500 words. 500 new, shiny little gems in my beloved WIP Escape which has been languishing in the corner while the showy, bedazzled circus took my full attention.
I'm sorry, WIP for ignoring you! It wasn't my fault! The circus is so pretty. And I get to wear sequins. And fun makeup. And take photos. And get good reviews. And stay up late drinking with the cool kids out back behind the gym. I mean, come on! Who wouldn't be seduced by glitter, greasepaint and hooch?
But I'm back to you, my darling, my love. My passion for you is stronger than girls on bungees and boys on trampolines. Our relationship is built on trust and tenderness and the exhilaration of new plot points and reallocated characters! Such a foundation cannot be shaken by rock-hard abs and bottles of yellow label Veuve Clicquot iced down in the cooler...
Wait, what? Tomorrow night's show is almost sold out? They like us? They really like us?
Sorry, WIP. You might just have to wait a bit longer...
Go Gretchen!! I love getting back into a WIP after being gone for a while. I think it really gives you a great new perspective and some killer new ideas!!!
