FIRE!

My blogging has been erratic, I realize. Been in rehearsals mostly - circus opens in 4 days, people - and trying to squeeze in some other real life things on the side. I actually managed to get the car washed today! The attendant looked at me like I'd murdered a child or something. Yes, my poor car was that filthy. Also bought dog food! Mr. Fluffy might not remember who the hell this redheaded woman is who leaves in the morning and returns in the wee hours, but I'll still feed him! Might also try and, yanno, go to the grocery store today. I tried to make cappuccino with the semi-souring milk in the fridge and the result was...heinous.

So. Car wash, dog food, rancid milk. Oh yes, want to see some pictures from yesterday's rehearsal?


First up, our dressing room area. How cool is it that we get our own little makeup tables? Also, this tent is 10x as big as last year's. I walked in and was like, "Really? All for us?" Oh, and the craft services woman makes THE BEST coffee. I heart her.

This is our bandstand, finished and lit. I wish you could fully appreciate how massive the drum kit is. Damn thing looks like a spaceship or something.

These next four are all from the fire finale. This was the first run-through torched up and it went really well. When it's lit with everyone in costume and us in the bandstand, it's going to be off the hook.








Yes, I know. No pics of me in costume yet. I think we're doing that today so I'll post some this week, though I was told last night that apparently my costume needs to show more "T & A" and they had to do some alterations to it. I hope they appreciate just what a scary, scary prospect they are in for. Can't say I didn't warn them!
