SHOES! SHOES! SHOES!

mood: shopaholic
pandora/ipod: "sheena is a punk rocker" by the ramones

Hello. My name is Gretchen and I'm a shoe-aholic.

Yeah. I've got it bad. My shoe collection is gorgeous. Gorgeous and overflowing. And yet, I can't help it. I WANT MORE!!!!

At the moment I have no less than four pairs of shoes in my Amazon shopping cart. I'm going to exercise some restraint here and only buy ONE pair. One pair that YOU choose for me!

How's that for nutty?

THE CONTESTANTS

#1: The Semi-Practical Ruffled T-Strap Pump

I love the color. I love the ruffle detail. I love that I could wear these to work. Now, I DO have a pair of pewter shoes, but they're a little uncomfortable. These look sturdy and work horse-like. And so pretty.

#2: The Known Quantity in Silver

So I actually own this pair of shoes is purple and they are (a) sexy, (b) comfortable and (c) garner tons of compliments. And, come on, they're SILVER! 'Nuff said.

#3: Utterly Impractical Zebra Peep Toes

I mean, what can you say other than that these are ZEBRA PRINT PEEP TOES ON A RED PLATFORM???? "Utterly Impractical" is an understatement, though I suppose I could still pull these off at work with...pants? Really long pants? Oh, I love these so much.

#4: Just Ridiculous with Blue Sequins

I know. It's like wearing blue disco balls on your feet. But why am I drawn to these? Have the sequins hypnotised me? Note: I have NO idea what I would wear these with.

Ok. There's a poll. Vote and help me choose, pretty please? Danke.

  1. They're all purdy, and I'd fall over if I tried to walk in them.

I'd go for the bling. I love, love, love the blue sequins.

  2. I am totally digging pair #1. I love the ruffle, and the mix of playful and sophisticated.

  3. okay, i don't love the fourth choice.
i love the second but you already have
it in another color! i VOTE FOR THREE!
i can't carry off animal print myself but
you can. and the red accent is just sassy!

  4. OMFG the zebras....I LOVE THEM. Not to make your choice any harder, but I think you'd dig this site as much as I do: AMAZING stuff. http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/shoes.html

  5. Oh Amy. I'm totally addicted to pinupclothing.com. LIke, in an unholy way. I want the Niagara dress in red so bad I can TASTE it!

BTW, I'm not ashamed to admit I'm glad #3 is winning!!!

  6. Another vote for #3. If I had to pick a second place, it would be #1.

  7. How can you even ask? Of course #3!!! Even I want them.

  8. Soooo not my thing...but if they were, I'd pick #3, and I can totally see you rawkin those!

  9. Love the ruffly T-straps--pair number one!

  10. I keep being drawn back to the silver, so No. 2 is my vote. :D

  11. I'm no help. I'm torn between #1 (so cute!) and #3 (so hot!). Being the practical virgo, though, I'd probably give the slight edge to #1.

  12. I'm also torn between #1 and #3, but leaning slightly toward #3. No, #1. No, #3.

Wait... Just realized #4 has SEQUINS. Get those!

I couldn't wear any of these, by the way! I'm hopeless with heels.

  13. I'm a flat-heel-shoe lover. All of these look uncomfortable, and I know I'd sprain my ankles in them within 5 mins. Seriously.

But since I'm not wearing them, I'm going for #3. :)

  14. Gorgeous shoes! If only I could wear heels that high, I'd buy every pair. The only think I'd ask is to change the material from zebra stripes to something else. I'd be torn between pairs one and two.

  15. I say #1 if your looking for something that could go with just about anything, work or play. #3 If you want something exciting and off the wall playful. (Hugs)Indigo

  16. I vote #1. I usually dislike ruffles, but the pewter makes it work!

  17. #4 or #1. sequins are hot now and blue is a nice change of pace. The first pair is a good choice if you need more work shoes.

  18. I think pair 1 is the most versatile and look fairly comfortable, but pair 2 is pretty, you know they're comfy, and trés chic!

    ReplyDelete
  19. OMG YOU GUYS! YOU'RE MAKING ME WANT TO BUY ALL OF THEM!!!!

    *flails*

  20. Holy crap. These are some fabulous shoes. For the record, your "practical" shoes would have me falling all over the place. I am no longer a city girl and have therefor lost my heel proficiency. Seeing these pictures make me sad. So...I'm voting for #1. And I'm totally buying #2 for myself. Take that suburbia!

  21. LiLa, I totally recommend #2. I have these in purple and let me tell you - they put a wiggle in your walk in a really, REALLY good way. :D

  22. Zebra and red all the way, baby!

  23. I LOVE the zebra red ones! I couldnt carry them off AT ALL, but you could and do it with such panache. But it's a fairly limited choice, so do you get to choose a second pair? In which case, I'd also get #2. You already know you like them, and they give a whole different look because of the colour.

  24. Loving candidates #1 and #2. They're gorgeous! =)

  25. VOTING UPDATE: Between the blog, Twitter and Facebook, pairs #1 and #3 are currently TIED with 15 votes a piece.

I'm totally going to have to get both, aren't I?

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love all of them! Sorry, I'm no help :(

  27. I have this image in my head of a long leonine woman with inch long red nails and white spandex pants wearing those zebra shoes.

With visions of shiny new characters floating around in my head, I say go with the zebra shoes. Could totally pull them off with just a red top and blue jeans.

  28. Tied? TIED?! THREE FOR THE WIN PEOPLE! I totally second Jen's motion...wear with blue jeans and a red top! I live through you, Gretchen. Whichever pair you get, you should post a pic of you wearing them.

    ReplyDelete
  29. No, no, no. With shoes like that, they must be the focus. Black pencil skirt, black top, smokin shoes FTW!

    ReplyDelete
  30. That's tough. I would go for the ruffles. They have that little extra something. Once you decide you'll have to do a little picture parade of all the places your hot little feet have walked in them.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Marissa, never fear. THERE WILL BE PHOTOS!

    :D

    ReplyDelete
  32. I vote #3! They're gorgeous. #1 is my second choice. I'd probably just get both. :)

  33. I love the ruffles. I have all kinds of foot problems, so I won't be able to buy them myself. Thanks for letting me shoe shop vicariously. *sniffs in self-pity*
